Cassian leads Inclusive Growth Partners, a firm that enables the transition of industries, assets, and places to respond to changes in communities, climate, energy, and technology. Through its place-based investment platform and capabilities in governance and finance, Inclusive Growth Partners are today enabling large scale transitions such as economic and social transitions of coal mining towns in regional Australia, the diesel transition for the Australian agricultural sector, and the technology transition of Northern Australian water markets.

Cassian previously served as Asia-Pacific Managing Partner of an international development and impact investment firm, as Senior Executive Advisor to the Abu Dhabi Government for its transition from an oil-centric economy, and as governance advisor in the UK Government Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. His earlier career included consulting with global strategy firm Booz & Company (now Strategy&), technology R&D, and investment with the London Technology Fund and with NESTA, one of the world’s first social impact funds. He has an engineering degree from the Queensland University of Technology, an MBA from the London Business School, and executive education in public-private finance from Oxford and Harvard Universities.
