Cass O’Connor

Chair

Cass is a seasoned Corporate Advisor and professional Chair and Non-Executive Director operating primarily in the cultural and artistic industries.

To each role she aims to bring considered counsel, usually based on financial assessment of the entity, its operating environment and key stakeholder requirements. Organisational behaviours, market trends and regulatory issues provide context for Cass’ work. Her financial analysis skills were honed during 6 years as an equities research analyst and subsequent roles in investment banking, corporate restructuring and private equity.

Cass has been a long term shareholder and director of multi-award-winning Australian independent film and television production company Goalpost Pictures, whose credits include I Am Woman, Top End Wedding, Holding the Man, The Invisible Man, and The Sapphires films, and television series Cleverman, Accidental Soldier and others. She is Chair of Carriageworks, Australia’s largest multi-arts facility based in Redfern; PRT Company (formerly regional television broadcaster Prime Media Group); and a Director of leading cultural think tank A New Approach.

Her 35-year career spans commercial, government and non-profit sectors.
