Michael Barbara

CCO – New Forests

Michael Barbara is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of New Forests’ commercial strategy, working closely with the CEO, regional Managing Directors and the Global Head of Investor Relations to drive revenue growth, optimize profitability, and enhance the company’s market position. Additionally, Michael is responsible for developing partnerships, alliances, assessing corporate M&A opportunities and carrying out other business development initiatives to expand the company in line with its goals and objectives. Michael has been in the forestry and nature-based solutions investment management sector for over 18 years, working on funds and investment strategies in Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada, Asia and Africa. He has an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor in Environmental Management from Macquarie University. Michael is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
