Marie Torres

Director Impact – Sarona Asset Management

Marie Torres serves as Sarona’s Director of Impact, leading the ESG and Impact management practice, with a focus on gender and climate. She is an international development professional with deep knowledge of the Southeast Asian market. Marie previously held the role of Senior Manager at Investing in Women, an Australian Government initiative. There, she managed a portfolio of impact investment firms and played a pivotal role in advancing IW’s blended finance strategy and gender lens investing. Marie has spearheaded initiatives in rural enterprise development, financial inclusion, and environmental sustainability. She brings a wealth of experience from both profit and non-profit sectors, complemented by an MBA and a BA in Development Studies. Additionally, Marie holds a Diploma in Corporate Finance and a Certificate in ESG Investing.
