Kurt Hegvold

Managing Director – Electrolux

Kurt Hegvold is an experienced and accomplished leader, dedicated to making a positive impact on both the community and the environment. With an extensive background in senior leadership roles spanning over 28 years, he has gained extensive experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) and appliance industries. Throughout his career, Kurt has held various senior leadership positions, both locally and internationally, with globally recognised household brands including Sorbent, SC Johnson, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Unilever. Currently, he serves as Vice President and Managing Director of Electrolux Group Australia and New Zealand, a renowned global leader in domestic appliances. 

Prior to his current role, Kurt was the CEO of the Sorbent Tissue company, a market leader in paper product manufacturing across Australia and New Zealand. Kurt was Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at SC Johnson prior to Sorbent, a leading global manufacturer of household cleaning and lifestyle brands. In his eight-year tenure at SCJ, Kurt also held senior marketing roles in North America and senior sales roles in Australia and New Zealand. 

An advocate for advancing more sustainable and circular solutions within the private sector, Kurt has a history of actively contributing to key industry groups. During his tenure at SC Johnson, Kurt sat on the Australian Food and Grocery Council’s “National Soft Plastics Recycling Committee”. Charged with establishing a deeper understanding of the national waste stream for soft plastics and establishing sustainable solutions for its recycling and reuse.  Since entering the Consumer Electronic industry, Kurt has Co-Founded COFOSS the Coalition for Sustainable Solutions. An established industry group whose board consists of ANZ’s most senior CE industry leaders across manufacturing and retail. The group still in its early stages is focused on building sustainable solutions for packaging and product recycling and reuse across the Major Domestic Appliances sector within Australia.
