Andrea Comastri

CEO – Hotel Etico

Andrea is the CEO and Co-founder of Hotel Etico, the first social enterprise hotel in Australia, employing and training young adults with disability in hospitality and independent living skills, challenging the wider community to see both the human and economic value of an inclusive society. Andrea’s vision is for Hotel Etico to be present in every State and Territory across Australia over the next 10 years, training and employing hundreds of young adults with disability and helping remove barriers to employment, changing societal attitudes towards disability.

A strong believer in the transformative power of social enterprises to create sustainable impact, Andrea is an expert changemaker with over 25 years’ experience in the not-for-profit and philanthropic sector.

He held executive, director and advisory roles in charities and philanthropy in areas including disability, youth unemployment, homelessness, domestic violence, drug and alcohol addiction, aged care and education. 

Andrea is a 2024 Westpac Social Chage Fellow, an Honorary Industry Fellow at the UTS Business School, a 2022 Social Impact Hub Social Impact Fellow and a 2022 AMP Tomorrow Maker.
