Zara Fulton is a leader in venture capital and impact investing, with broad experience across biotech, climate tech, and disability tech. As Head of Investment at Remarkable, a division of Cerebral Palsy Alliance, she applies her expertise in early-stage investing and portfolio management to support innovative startups creating scalable solutions for people with disabilities, including young Australians.
Previously, Zara was Associate Director of Strategy & Corporate Development at Genomatica, where she led portfolio management and corporate strategy initiatives, advancing sustainable materials technologies. Before that, she served as Principal Analyst & Strategy Consultant at Norstella, advising pharmaceutical companies on portfolio optimisation and strategic innovation.
Her earlier career includes impactful roles in scientific research and public policy. As a Scientist at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine and a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Scripps Research Institute, Zara advanced research on influenza and HIV vaccines. She also worked on innovation-focused policy initiatives in the Australian public sector. Zara holds a PhD from Monash University, where her research focused on multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis.
