Karen Ng

Director of Investment Management, Brightlight Group

Karen has more than 10 years of experience in investment banking and impact investing across Australia, Asia and Europe. She is currently a Director of Investment Management at Brightlight Group and co-portfolio manager of Asia Pacific Impact Notes. Prior to this role, she was an Investment Director at Big Society Capital in the UK, focusing on the development of investment solutions to provide affordable homes for vulnerable people, including people experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic abuse and people with disabilities. Recently, she led a sector-wide response to provide move-on accommodation for those experiencing homelessness during the pandemic and was instrumental in the creation of the world’s first gender lens property fund. Karen has extensive experience developing and managing impact investment portfolios, including debt, equity, property and social impact bonds. She graduated from University of Oxford (MBA) and London School of Economics (BSc Government and Economics).
