Zarmeen Pavri

Partner and Chief Impact Officer – SDGx Ventures an Impact VC firm investing in deep tech climate solutions

Zarmeen Pavri is an established investment management executive with over 26 years’ experience, having a multi-dimensional background covering ethical and impact investing, venture capital, funds management, product development and commercialisation. She has held several senior executive leadership roles at AECOM International Development, Pengana Capital and MIR Investment Management. She was also the Impact Fund Manager, managing the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s (DFAT) $12m Impact Innovation Accelerator Fund, supporting the start-up ecosystem in SE Asia.

She now dedicates her efforts towards creating impact at every level of the impact economy with the goal of transforming investment and capital markets to being a force for good. As a ‘market participant’, she is the Partner and Chief Impact Officer at SDGx – an Impact VC investment management and advisory firm, who recently launched a Global Climate Tech Impact Fund focusing on deep tech companies. In her role as “market builder’, she drives educational programs on leading best practices within the impact investing industry to the institutional investor market, across the Oceania region, being a Senior Advisor to the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN). Lastly, at the corporate board room level, she drives the strategic agenda applying the ‘impact and sustainability lens’, being a Non-Executive Director of a listed ASX company – Magnis Energy Technologies (a lithium -ion Battery manufacturer (ASX: MNS) and sits on the board of U Ethical Investors Ltd , a $1.5B ethical investment firm.

She is a qualified Australian Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce (sub major Law) degree from University of Western Sydney and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
